Maternity Session #2 January 25, 2010
Kathy is the reason for these past couple maternity sessions. It was her desire to have more of a black background studio look that used natural lighting & shadows to show off her belly. This also worked best in her case because she was on bedrest
I have done those type of sessions with newborns before but not pregnant women. I am so thankful for the opportunity she gave me to expand the type of sessions I offer. I just love how they’ve all turned out!
So Kathy here are a few for your viewing…

Kathy you are a beautiful pregnant women! I am eager to meet your little girl in a few short weeks!
Maternity Sessions! January 20, 2010
This week I had the chance to do not one but two maternity sessions! Both turned out beautifully. Made me wish I had done something like this with my three belly’s. So pregnant women out there be inspired to capture your baby belly before it’s gone! And it really does go away… one day
and just in case you were wondering what she was having… ![]()

Kathy, your preview is coming!
B & V Family Session January 8, 2010
2009 for me, was the year of large family sessions. So it’s only appropriate for me to finish out the year with one last one! I think it’s wonderful how many sisters & brothers want to get pictures together with all their kids.
This was taken in downtown Phx a few days after Christmas. It was a cold and cloudy day for Phx. We don’t get those often! But the cold weather didn’t stop the kids from having fun. The promise of Starbucks afterwards sure helped
Here are a few from the day:
Thanks guys for the opportunity to capture you all together! “V” family I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in AZ and your full session is on it’s way!
Merry & New January 2, 2010
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I know we sure did! The past week we took some extended time to get away as a family. We took a trip up to snowy Show Low. In addition to sledding, snowman building we played rousing games of Yahtzee jr. & slap jack!
As I look back at 2009 I’m thankful for the friends & family that have encouraged me in beginning Tara D Photography! I am truly blessed to have been given so many opportunities this year to capture little faces, couples and families. I’m excited to see what this next year holds. Perhaps a new camera, a new lens but most definitely beautiful faces & lives to treasure through photos.
Coming soon, The B/V family session and a maternity session on the way!
Happy New Year!
Keith & Carrie December 17, 2009
More family on the blog! This time it’s not my brother but my husband’s. Keith & Carrie I’m so glad we were able to get you guys scheduled in before Christmas! We had a bright, sunny afternoon for our session. I loved the warm light. We tried to grab a few family shots but we more just let the boys run around and I caught a few in action.
Toby. Want to know how to make Toby laugh? Pretend like your hurting yourself. I know cause I did
Love his smile.

CJ is a mixture of super serious when he’s talking about super hero’s then also goofy when you ask to see his smile. Oh and he too like it when I got hurt.

Little Bo. This boy likes balls. Pretty much every shot he’s smiling in it’s because I had a ball above my head that I was about to give him ![]()

Love ya guys!
Jones Family December 12, 2009
This is not just another beautiful family. This is my brother, sis-in-law & nephew! I love taking their photo’s and this day was no exception. The only bummer was how cold & dreary it was. The sun didn’t come out once while we were there. Good think Danae wanted more of a black & white/vintage look for this session!
Owen & The Rooster meet. Owen kept little rocks in his hand for most of the session. I think the rooster thought it was food
Baby #2 is on the way in April!
Gray Family December 10, 2009
This weekend I had the chance to capture this beautiful family! The session started out cloudy and quite cold. The girls were troopers in there dresses.
The sun started to peek out as I was taking these portraits giving us some beautiful light and warmth
all the girls jumped out of the frame except the youngest
Wish I could’ve gotten all their faces but thought it was kind of cute of the youngest!
This little guy is lucky to have so many Aunties who adore him!
Ok, seriously, does she look old enough to be a mother to four & grandma to one?!? Talk about aging gracefully! I can only hope to be so blessed!

Thank you Gray family! I had a great time with you all!
Jeremy & Bre Mini Session December 8, 2009
My neighbors asked if I would snap a few quick pictures for their Christmas cards. There is this massive Christmas tree in downtown Glendale near the Cardinals Stadium. We got there early in the morning so we could be near the tree without fighting crowds! We just missed the big event too. They were setting up for something around us as we took pictures.
They wanted one of just there little guy to go along with the card. Good luck choosing just one out of these guys
I cannot get over how many different adorable faces he has!
